![]() With a high sensitivity (and clothing that doesn't fool the sensor, naturally mechanical mice need not apply) you get a remarkable range of motion while not having to tilt your wrist up (indeed, it'll tilt down), so you'll still get precision aiming the game needs (remember there's no thumbstick oriented assistance + high precision shooting required). Now the silly sounding part is, use your knee (the front part, so when you're sitting your fingertips point at the ground) as a mousepad. If you can manage that, it's worth doing because Deus Ex is a bastard to play with a pad.Īnother idea (and this is going to sound silly and may not work for you, but I'm not taking the piss) is to use the 360 pad in your left hand for movement and a few function bound to the buttons on that side, while using the mouse in your left hand. As a solo developer, I've been working on COP BASTARD, an intense classic FPS game set in Japan in 90s, for the past couple of years, inspired by games as Max Payne and F.E.A.R. ![]() If you're having trouble imagining what I mean, think of leaning against a short wall and letting your arms hang down on the other side, then imagine using a keyboard in that position. r/maxpayne Just wanted to share my passion project with you all. Shooters don't really interest me, in general, so I can't see myself using it for more than just this game. I don't feel like spending extra $$ for a peripheral I'm likely only going to use once on a $10 game. Since I already own the controller, that's the avenue I'm going to go down. Same goes for a PS3 controller, although I like the 360 controller better due to its size, stick layout, and triggers. The XBox controller works well for me as my hands and wrists mostly assume a close-fingered, neutral-to-down angle. So, no "rest wrists on pad, angle hands up, and type away" for me. My right hand is better than my left, as I'm right handed. The others don't have the strength, and I have difficulties isolating and moving them individually. It's basically index fingers and thumbs that do all the work, and my right hand middle finger. My fingers themselves have limited strength and dexterity. My wrists are essentially fused, and my hands cannot be angled upward. Born disabled, can't lift and hold my arms up.
